For Educational Grants of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Study at Universities in Kazakhstan for the 2025/2026 Academic Year
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with Article 8 of the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Cooperation in the Field of Higher and Postgraduate Education” dated December 22, 2022, is allocating 20 scholarship places to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan for studying at higher education institutions in Kazakhstan starting from the 2025/2026 academic year. Specifically:
- 14 places are allocated for Bachelor’s degree programs;
- 6 places are allocated for Master’s degree programs.
The grant covers free tuition at the university. However, expenses related to travel and accommodation are to be covered by the student.
A list of 73 universities in Kazakhstan participating in this grant program is attached. Applicants may review the available bachelor’s and master’s degree programs either through the official website of the chosen university or by contacting the university’s admissions office.
Required Documents:
- Application form for admission to higher education institutions of Kazakhstan (form attached);
- Copy of identity document (passport);
- Notarized copy of the document confirming previous level of education (with transcript, if available);
- Medical certificate for studying abroad, issued by an official health authority in the applicant’s country of residence;
- Medical certificate confirming absence of HIV/AIDS, issued by an official health authority in the applicant’s country of residence;
- Motivation letter in Kazakh, Russian, or English;
- Recommendation letter in Kazakh, Russian, or English;
- Certificate of no criminal record.
Eligibility Requirements:
These grants are available to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan — students of public universities or students of academic lyceums in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- For Bachelor’s degree programs, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent with an academic performance average of at least “B”.
- For Master’s degree programs, applicants must have a Bachelor’s or Specialist degree with a GPA of at least 3.3 out of 4.0, or its equivalent.
Deadlines:
Applicants must submit an electronic copy of their document package to the university in Uzbekistan where they are currently enrolled (academic lyceum students submit to their affiliated university). The international cooperation department of the university is responsible for handling the process.
The university, in turn, will compile and verify the applications according to the specified requirements and forward them, with an official cover letter, to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan via one of the following email addresses:

Submission deadline: June 20, 2025
Please note that the chosen program of study cannot be changed after official submission.
In addition, selected applicants must have original paper versions of all documents with them upon arrival at the university in Kazakhstan after successful admission.
