The Matsumae International Foundation, located in Tokyo, Japan, has announced a scholarship for PhD/doctoral degree holders to conduct research. A total of 15 researchers from around the world will be selected for this program.

Grant Benefits:

• A monthly stipend of 220,000 yen (approximately 1,428 USD)
• A one-time payment of 120,000 yen
• Coverage of airfare expenses
• Health insurance

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Before applying for the grant, the candidate must be accepted by a research institution.
2. Must hold a PhD degree.
3. Must be 45 years old or younger (born in 1980 or later).
4. Must have proficiency in English or Japanese.
5. Must have employment in their home country and return after completing the research.

The research period will be from June 2026 to March 2027.
The candidate is free to choose their research institution.
