On February 7, 2025, an event was held at the Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics within the framework of the “Fight Against Drug Addiction” month under the slogan “We, the youth, are against drugs.”

The event was opened by the First Deputy Director for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, Kh.I. Turdibekov, who called on the youth to be aware of the dangers of drugs. Then, the narcologist from the Samarkand branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Mental Health, N.Z. Negmatova, provided detailed information to the students about the negative consequences of drug addiction and its causes.

Officers from the Samarkand City Department of Internal Affairs, T. Abduvaliev, and the branch's preventive inspector, D. Shodmonov, presented information on shaping awareness against drugs, the drug trade that is becoming a trap for the youth, and attempts to turn them into consumers of this deadly poison.

Additionally, the branch's assigned doctor, S.D. Mustafaqulova, spoke about the measures being taken in our country to combat this harmful social issue.
