Announcement
A competition has been announced for the "UNESCO/Al Fozan” International Prize, established by Saudi Arabia and UNESCO to support young scientists and researchers in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
This international prize is awarded every two years to five scientists and researchers selected from five regions. The award amount is $50,000. Candidates recommended for the prize are selected by the Director-General of UNESCO based on the recommendation of an international jury.
Eligibility criteria for participation:
- The prize is awarded to candidates recognized for their achievements or contributions in the following areas:
Research in STEM, including new technologies or STEM education, dissemination of research results, creativity, and innovations, or authors of international or regional projects in STEM.
- Candidates must be under 40 years of age at the time of application.
- It is recommended to nominate young women researchers as candidates.

Submission deadline: From September 14, 2024, to April 15, 2025.
Candidates wishing to participate in the competition must submit their documents to the National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan for UNESCO Affairs by March 25, 2025.
