Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Scholarship: Fully Funded Master’s in the UK
The prestigious University of Sheffield, in partnership with the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust and the Sheffield Institute for International Development, offers a fully funded Master’s scholarship for talented students from developing countries.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, the following programs are available:
- International Development MSc
- International Political Economy MA
Note: Only 3 scholarships will be awarded.
Who can apply?
- International students who wish to pursue a Master’s degree
Benefits:
- Full tuition fee coverage
- Living stipend of £12,500 (approximately $16,500)
Requirements:
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a developing country (including Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan)
- Hold an offer for one of the eligible Master’s programs
- Not receive other scholarships or financial support
- Have English proficiency: minimum IELTS 6.5 (at least 6.0 in each component)
- Be ready to start studies in September 2026 (no deferral allowed)
- Be able to obtain a UK visa
Application process:
- First, apply for the Master’s program and obtain an offer
- Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to apply for the scholarship
- If you do not receive an invitation by May 15, 2026, you have not been shortlisted
Required documents:
- Bachelor’s diploma and transcript (with English translation)
- Academic transcript (if still studying)
- 2 academic reference letters (if required)
- English language certificate (IELTS or equivalent)
- Motivation letter (minimum 300 words)
- CV
- Proof of work experience or portfolio (if available)
