According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in the 2021-2022 academic year will provide bachelor's, master's, postgraduate (PhD Research Program) and post-doctoral programs (Post-Doctoral Research Program) a competition for a scholarship for training has been announced.

Within the framework of this scholarship program, grants are allocated for training in the areas of education listed in the annex to the letter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Applicants wishing to participate in the competition must submit their applications by February 28, 2021 through the following web site: www.isdb.org/scholarships

Documents in a foreign language must be accompanied by a notarized translation into English or French.

Internship and short-term work in Germany

There are vacancies in the following areas:

  • Agriculture (strawberry picking, floriculture, harvesting, milking, etc.).

Requirements for participation in the program:

  • You must be enrolled as a student at a university  (not a final year);
  • Knowledge of German or English;
  • being in Germany for at least 2 months from the date the holiday begins. The most convenient is 3 months. Other times are agreed upon;
  • The visa is issued for a period of 90 days and the visa cannot be extended;
  • Strong desire to gain experience;
  • Experience in agricultural work;
  • Must be physically healthy.

The benefits of the program to you:

  • Minimum salary is around  9.50 Euro per hour;
  • Work hours per week are 40 hours or more per week;
  • Travel around Germany and Europe in your spare time with the agreement of the employer;
  • Get acquainted with German culture and increase your knowledge of foreign languages.

Expenses  you will incur:

  • Visa and related expenses;

  • The total cost of the program is € 500. Therefore, important original documents for obtaining a visa (Einladung, Vertrag, Arbeitsgenehmigung) will be paid to you at the time of issuance of € 100, and even if the visa is not issued, it will not be returned. At that moment, a contract will be signed with us and it will come into force from that time. The rest of the fee, € 400, will be paid after the visa is issued and before arrival in Germany. We also arrange a small preparatory interview for a visa for a small fee. Obtaining a visa depends only on the completeness of the documents requested by you. We are not a visa office or embassy.

Documents required for participation in the program:

  1. Copy of passport;

General information about the place of work and the course of work:

  • Costs for your accomodation in Germany (if not provided free of charge by the employer). Students should calculate with around 120-250 Euro per month for accommodation. Free accomodation is not possible due to the German tax system. Accomodation and related conditions will be announced in advance.
  • Rooms for 2 to 4 people. Conditions for cooking are created. Food and other living expenses are borne by the students. The employer can help you go to the store or there will be shops near your place of residence.
  • Work clothes should be on the students themselves. This also applies to special work clothes. Other required equipment will be notified separately in advance. Precise information about this will be provided once the workplace is clear. Students are required to ask us about this before they arrive.
  • Working hours 40 hours per week. It may be more depending on the circumstances. But you get paid for all the hours you work. This thing is defined in German law.
  • The period of leave granted to a student by the Institute is recorded in the Immatrikulationsbescheinigung. Depending on whether the student can come on the basis of this document, the farm is selected and the start date of the work is determined. For example, there are vacancies mainly for the strawberry harvest from June 1, and for the potato and apple harvest from September. This is agreed with the students individually.
  • The minimum wage is € 9.50 per hour. This means that the student's monthly salary is around € 1,500. But the salary can also be higher depending on the quality and speed of the student’s performance.
  • Students are placed in groups at the workplaces. You will not be left alone.

Total costs of the program:

  • Program fee is € 500
  • Visa fee is € 100
  • Total cost of health insurance is € 80-90
  • Tickets are around € 600
  • Travel expenses (within Germany) 30-50 €
